I featured Dwight Yoakam's Long White Cadillac yesterday, and today I'm featuring one of Yoakam's biggest hits. Guitars, Cadillacs was the second single released from Yoakam's 1986 debut album Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc. Etc. It was a top five hit on the Billboard Hot Country charts, peaking at #4. Enjoy!

I love Dwight Yoakam's music. He's got one of the most distinct voices in all of country music or any music genre for that matter. Back in 1989, he released a greatest hits album called Just Lookin' For A Hit. Appropriately enough, he got one new hit from the album. It's wasn't a huge hit, but it was a top 40 hit on the country charts. Long White Cadillac was the only new single released from the album, and it peaked at #35 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Enjoy!

Black Cadillac is the name of Rosanne Cash's 2006 album. The first track from the album was also called Black Cadillac. It wasn't released as an official single, but I found this great video of Rosanne performing the song live in concert. Enjoy!
Cadillac by Mest is a drastic change from yesterday's Welfare Cadillac from Guy Drake, huh? Mest is a pop punk band from Blue Island, IL. Cadillac was the only single they released from their 2001 album Destination Unknown. Enjoy!
Here's Guy Drake performing his single Welfare Cadillac on the Porter Wagoner show. Drake took this song into the top ten on the Billboard charts back in 1970. It's his only single to chart. Enjoy!

They’ll be waiting in the line out back
Might get your picture in the hometown paper
Maybe buy your momma that Cadillac"

The late Chris Ledoux's most successful album was his 1993 Whatcha Gonna Do with a Cowboy? album. It spawned two hit singles. The first was the title track, which went all the way to #7 on the Billboard Hot Country charts, and the second one was Cadillac Ranch, which peaked at #18 on the country charts. These two singles were his only singles to break into the the top 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Enjoy!
Boys of Summer was a #1 Billboard Mainstream Rock hit for Eagles great Don Henley back in 1984. It was the first single released from his Building the Perfect Beast album. It also peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Wondering where Cadillac appears:
"Out on the road today
I saw a dead head sticker on a Cadillac
A voice inside my head said don't look back
You can never look back"
